Dear readers, The inspiration for my collection showcased at the Nepal Fashion Week this year was a wedding that takes place in the woods. So, it was very Peter Pan driven and felt straight out of a whimsical note. Since, nature was a big source of inspiration for this one, my main focus was on the darker greens and to signify the feminine attributes of the bride from the woods I obviously chose the water pink color. The designs had hand works infused with emerald stones, pearls and rhinestones. The forest green and layered silhouette spoke about the flourishing nature and some bits of inspiration taken out from the earliest forms of dressing. It spoke in volume of my brands DNA that is a resilient style yet feminine and delicate. Overall, the models looked beautiful and the showstopper was the gorgeous Subeksha Khadka. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Love and Luck -A-

Dear readers, Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. For today’s post I am sharing some of my designs that I got to showcase at the opening of fashion fridays at one of the most happening clubs in K-Town, Karma Bar . It was my first time showcasing my collection at a night club so I chose two themes i.e; fierce bond girl and Safari night. It was a blast and I had a fun night. Most special was the presence of my parents, siblings and my closest friends. Also my showstopper for the safari night was one my favorite media personality, Malvika Subba who dazzled the stage with the green lined golden dress. All the other models looked ravishing on stage as well. The whole team of Karma was so nice and I had a fun experience. That’s all for now. Stay tuned, Love & Luck -A- SAFARI THEME

Dear readers, I just came back from Hong Kong. It still feels surreal to be able to travel and get the opportunity to showcase my designs in an international platform. I feel very blessed to be able to follow my passion and be loved appreciated by so many incredible people whom I had the pleasure to design. Anyways, I am sharing some of the pictures from the show where I showcased my limited fusion traditional designs. It was all prepared in a week notice as we had some visa issues but super grateful that it all worked out. I would like to thank team “sense of click” for inviting us all designers to be a part of your event. Really appreciate it. Love & Luck -A-

Dear readers, It is amazing to feel this sense of gratitude when people start recognizing your work and especially when you get an invitation to be a part of an incredible international platform. That feeling of seeing your hard work coming into fruition is such a wonderful and gratifying feeling. I would always cherish this opportunity that I got to showcase my first ever 100% organic made in Nepal collection at the Khadi show – the future of fashion, organized by the fashion council of Bangladesh. Their main motive is to promote green, clean energy textiles and sustainable fashion. I loved how their annual event is inclusive and they are trying to bring marginalized people in the mainstream of economic activity. I had the chance to meet such amazing personalities during the three-day event; it was an eye opening experience. I learnt a great deal about slow fashion movement, preserving long-standing traditional techniques and to safeguard natural old heritage fabrics from early extinction. I do believe that with the fast fashion having massive environmental impact, it’s high time we focus on slow fashion and take a pause on mindless overconsumption. I was more than happy to get a chance to be able to be part of a platform with such an incredible cause and social message . About the collection: My collection was titled “pure allurance ”. This name was chosen because for the first time I was working on a fabric that was hand crafted with pure natural fibers and dyed in natural colors. I wanted to make sure that it was all ‘au naturel’ in every sense. I chose two specific colors, which have always been my absolute classic favorites to work with i.e.: red and pink. I wanted the collection to evoke this deep intriguing quality of panache while portraying a modern women of today flaunting the age old heritage fabrics with a bold sense of style and making a statement with the vibrant colors. I was happy to receive a lot of compliments that night and most of them were curious about the composition of the fabric and also how I interpreted it as a modern wear given that a lot of people or designers used khadi in a more traditional or fusion wears only. Overall, it was a beautiful night I will never forget and so thankful for all the Bangladeshi models for flaunting my designs so beautifully on the ramp. Grateful heart!! That’s all for today’s special post. Until next time, Love & Luck A Love & Luck A

Dress: DS Collection | Shoes: Lane 88 | Shades: Dior Venue: Hotel Harmika Pictures by Synematico Dear readers, A few weeks ago I was a part of a very special event, Bloggers Bazaar. It is an event that happens a lot in other countries but in Nepal this was the first time. A lot of my blogger friends writing on fashion and lifestyle from Kathmandu collaborated to organize this event. The concept of Bloggers Bazaar is to allow the bloggers and fashion enthusiasts to set up stalls and to promote their clothing and accessories at a very affordable price. The response on the day was really good and people visiting the event enjoyed the vibrant ambience and services provided by Hotel Harmika situated in Boudha. The photo of the event was covered by a new start up company called Synematico based in Kathmandu. It happens to be my best friend’s new venture. You can find them on Instagram and Facebook. You can find really cool creative stuffs in their social networking sites and are mainly available for advertisement works. You can visit them at www.synematico.com if you need any of their services. Also I did a little collab with Gokul Shrestha from “Closet of words”. You can find few pictures of me and him. His blog is really good filled with classic style mixed with modern day trends. “Outfit Closure” On the day I wore a white off-shoulder dress that was bought very last minute. Like any good thing it was found by chance during one of my visits to Durbar Marg. I instantly loved the layers that the dress has and the soft feeling of it. The shoes, that I am wearing is an oxblood strappy heels that was bought last year but since I am not much of a stilettoes person I wore it for the first time. It went perfectly with the simple silhouette and the color of the dress. As for the accessories I wasn’t wearing any in particular but my old Dior shades goes everywhere with me. Blogger’s Bazaar was a really upbeat event and it was a success. There may be more cool events coming up from us, NFB (Nepal Fashion Bloggers), so stay tuned. Love & Luck A
